DETERIOR

It seems like no amount of extra writing and honing arrangements is going to make me totally happy with anything anymore, so regardless of what happens I'm going to record this damn thing in July. Once I have some actual tracks down it'll be easier to actually piece things together. Also hi, yeah, second post for 2014, all right, getting the hype train moving at sonic speeds.

Well, you know by now that I don't really ever post here unless I have something worthwhile to say. As usual, in the last six months the blog has been quiet I've been doing other things, like my other blog, real job stuff, real life stuff, boring stuff. I never really took much of a break; I started back up with writing stuff for Deterior in about August or September and have been trucking along since. Got four or five new songs down so far, will probably get another one or two in. Still very very early in the process and I'm taking things very slowly, like last time.

Recently I did an interview with the fantastic sludge metal blog SLUDGELORD, the first interview I've done in four years. In it, I talk about all sorts of stuff, like my writing process, personal life, etc. It actually went up last week but I haven't had a chance to post a link here since I've been out of town. Read the interview here!

It's out today. Sounds less like it was recorded with a vacuum cleaner. The old version is no longer available (not like you'd want it anyway). Men Like Gods by Deterior

Alrighty, economic experiment failed. I got even less exposure than normal. So Torchbearer is back to pay-what-you-want. Download away!

Torchbearer by Deterior I have to say, it feels pretty good to finally get this out there. Even discounting the "hiatus", this one took forever to make. As always, I hope you'll enjoy it. The album is free to stream at Bandcamp and YouTube . It's pay-what-you-want to download a high-quality digital cop. The Bandcamp download comes with an exclusive PDF booklet with artwork, lyrics, and credits. label: GarageMonkey Productions (GMP-030) format: digital file released: 23 April 2013 time: 46:58 recorded and engineered by Deterior in Studio 170 from January–March 2013 mixed and mastered by Deterior in Studio 170 from March–April 2013 cover photography: Keith Roper Now it's time to relax and crank out that Men Like Gods remaster.

It's about 99% done at this point, so I guess I feel pretty comfortable putting up a quick teaser video. Enjoy!
